Red Jade Timeline

Here is a rough outline of the process I’ve been through so far working on the Red Jade series. There is more to come as I work on edits and covers for books 2, 3, and 4. And I’m sure I left out some things in there, like having to learn the basics of WordPress (for blogging), PhotoShop (for cover adjustments), and Scrivener (for mobile conversion), but if you’re curious about some of what went into the process, here you go!

    • Prologue and Chapter One written
  • September 2010
    • Chapter 34 written
    • Realization: this will be more than one book
    • Writing continues
  • January 2011
    • Manuscript split into two works
    • Book 1 complete
    • Read and edit
  • July 2012
    • Book 2 complete
    • Read books 1 and 2 and edit
  • Fall 2012
    • Beta copy of books 1 and 2 given to Joseph
  • February 2013

    • Beta copy given to Joseph

    • Cover artist selected through Elance (June 24)
    • Round 1 edits return (June 27)
